More Portfolios

Over the last year or two I have been researching and practicing cyanotype almost exclusively while writing Cyanotype: The Blueprint in Contemporary Practice. My cyanotype work can be found in The Altered Landscape and Contemporary Vanitas portfolios, as well as this portfolio of cyanotype prints culled from various bodies of work. The prints are created on archival papers (mainly Hahnemühle Platinum Rag and Arches Platine) and coated with 10/10 classic cyanotype, new cyanotype in 100–200 ml dilutions, and "hybrid" cyanotype that a few of us lovingly term "SWC" after Sam Wang, Clemson University professor emeritus and friend, who prints with this combination almost exclusively. Cyanotype's color carries such poetic metaphor; choosing images to print in blue is half the fun of this age-old process.
